YouTubers: Tanya Burr

Following Tanya Burr is one of my favourite decisions of all time and as she reached 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube, I feel it's time to write a blogpost about the lovely Tanya.

Tanya creates fabulous make-up tutorials predominantly, but also hauls, vlogs and other lovely videos. All of the time I read comments expressing how incredibly sweet Tanya is and it's so true. She makes us friends, rather than viewers and this makes me smile and I'd love to meet her one day because it's obvious how genuine she is. It's so effortless to just smile watching her videos, watching her friendships, as well as her and her lovely fiancé, Jim's sweet relationship. Her tutorials are so precise and helpful, her hauls always leaving me looking edgily towards my purse before bursting out of the door and her vlogs making me grin.

Another thing I lalalalaaarve about Tanya is her bubbliness. Her happiness, despite being portrayed through a computer screen, is infectious. It's truly lovely and leaves me being reminded that a positive attitude is always great. Her smile is always all the more awesome as Tanya clearly works incredibly hard and that makes me a very happy viewer.

Tanya is undeniably glamorous. Any moment in the day, captured on camera, (and obviously outside of the lens too, I don't doubt!) she looks incredible. When she's on the red carpet or at a major event, she always look a-m-a-z-i-n-g. I really want to be able to master the Tanya post (as shown above).

Tanya's so smiley and GAWgeous and I'm proud that she has reached 1,000,000 subscribers!

Youtubers: zoella280390

Zoe Sugg, Zoella is awesomeawesomeawesome and has recently hit 1,000,000 subscribers, getting an extra 250,000 very quickly and she deserves every single one of them.

Zoe is a beauty/fashion/life YouTuber who uploads every Sunday and makes the dull Sunday evenings where Monday is ever present a lot brighter! I love watching all of her videos and vlogs, her friendships and how many goals she's achieving. It's especially refreshing to see Zoe overcome things she never would have thought she could have: saying "yes" in general as it makes me think "I can do that too!".

Just Say Yes. Zoe has an awesome blog and one of her posts is about doing things that you wouldn't necessarily do or say "yes" to without a more outgoing mind-set. It has really helped me because I can hold myself back for reasons that aren't really reasons (but they are at the same time!). She also recently made a video about saying yes and it's definitely changed my outlook for the better. So thank you Zoe: you've made my ambitions burn brighter.

It's lovely to watch Zoe and her videos and her mind-set because she clearly hasn't given up as too many people do. She's taken the scarier, but more satisfying route. She's always so bubbly in her videos and it makes me watch her videos over and over again when I probably should be doing something else!

Zoe is très talented, from her photos to her videos. She's fantastical (and very pwetty).

YouTubers: ItsWayPastMyBedTime

Carrie Hope Fletcher, ItsWayPastMyBedTime is a singer/actress and is very much so responsible for my extreme talent of procrastinating.

Not only do I want to look like her but her talent is one that is too much to just "have on in the background". While I'm supposed to be revising, I often end up staring at my laptop screen, the rest of my family also mesmerised by The Girl With The Beautiful Hair. I feel like I share some similarities with Carrie: her love of Disney, musicals and books and that although in this way, she is relatable, her awesomeness is often too magical for this muggle world.

Oh, and she doesn't just sing: she vlogs and makes videos that make me think, like really think. Her videos are interesting and can leave me thinking about a subject that I might not have before or giving me a fresh outlook on life, encouraging me to do something differently (more on this here and here). I love watching her videos about her life, how far she has come and how her career is expanding; it is refreshing and I'll always be along for the journey. Also, I'm a huge fan of Christmas and Carrie was responsible for me not having post Christmas sadness because of her Twelve Days of Christmas. So, thank you Carrie!

Carrie's original songs are too incredible and never fail to make me happy. Every song has such meaning behind it and I often belt them out, pretending that I can sing because they're such powerful, awesome songs with lyrics that tell stories.

"These boys in books are better, 'cos they'll be here forever."

Yes, ok, I found Carrie through Tom, but I stayed because of her. I feel like this should be known because Carrie's talent is exactly that: her talent! She's living off of her own success and she's making it a success because she has an incredible talent and portrays herself wonderfully! Her talent is captured in the video of her Cup Song Mash Up. It's seriously insane.

Favourite three covers: When Will My Life Begin, Defying Gravity, Just Like A Pill.
I cannot choose a favourite original so here is the one that portrays ultimate girl power.
Favourite non-singing video.

YouTubers: zeldaxlove64

Christina Grimmie, zeldaxlove64 is the first youtuber I followed and became...obsessed with, causing me to fall head first into the youtube community.

The hours, resulting in days that I have spent watching Christina's videos is unable to be calculated. I remember finding her cover of Catch Me by Demi Lovato three years ago and that was me, already in Team Grimmie before the name was even conjured up. I cannot explain how proud I am of how far she has come. That Girl From Youtube is now making music for a living; her dream is finally reality and that's incredible. She's incredibly talented, covering songs with piano that she works out herself and writing and producing music that is insanely awesome. Not only this, but she seems down to earth and portrays herself very well and this makes her a brilliant role model. Christina Grimmie, you are awesome and I love watching your youtube journey as well as your fantastic experiences.

Christina uploading a video is always one of the most exciting things for me, causing me to go on about it to my friends and family until it is uploaded and I sit in silence, wanting her talent for myself, but happy that such a great person possesses it. I'm always captivated by her talent, her quirkiness and the love she has for her music and fans. I can't tell you how many times I have watched her Stuff You Don't See videos because they make me laugh so much.

The thought of ALBUM TWO OH MY GAWSH reminds me of the awesomeness of Find Me, Christina's debut album. I remember the release of the album was on the day of an exam and I woke up at four (I live in the UK!) in the morning to make sure that I had the album on my iPod as soon as I possibly could. I love the album so much. You should check it out here: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZ...

"I'm living in an empty house of cards."

Watching Christina on Ellen and hosting the American Idol Live Tour makes and her other 2,000,000 members of Team Grimmie incredibly proud. I wish I could look like her, have the Grimime Hair and her incredible talent.

YouTubers: TylerWardMusic

The lovely Tyler Ward, TylerWardMusic is an incredibly talented musician who has over 1,000,000 subscribers and deserves every single one of them.

I'm proud to say that I've been supporting Tyler for a very, very long time! The reason I first fell for Tyler was because of the obvious happiness he felt when playing his music. He loved Goo Goo Dolls and Taylor Swift and therefore I loved him. This love has carried on through the last four years and it's awesome watching the incredible things he achieves.

You can tell that all he wants to do every day is make music and play music and that's just the best thing to watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DAx6qHXBqmU&list=PLF077C9DD67E5CF3D&index=60. In turn, I don't doubt how genuine and grateful for his fans he is, but he should know I'm thankful for him! Not only this, but he helps out other aspiring musicians by giving them a platform and it's amazing to see how these people progress. The featured artist's story that touches me the most is the story of Dred Scott. He's an incredibly talented homeless man and his voice gives me chills. Here is the video of the awesome guy singing and here's the How We Met video. Tyler is my hero for promoting his music and for being such an incredible guy. Tyler is the philanthropist of the music world.

One of my favourite things about being a fan of Tyler is the release of his originals. Faulting his original songs would just not be possible. One of my favourite of his songs because of how clever and sweet it is, is his song Tyler Swift. His songs are just so awesome, musically perfect and lyrically beautiful! You should check out his new album of originals here: http://bit.ly/HelloLoveHeartbreak

I've stayed up so many times to watch his live videos and have not regretted it one bit, stayed glued to youtube for his latest release and refreshed his twitter feed repeatedly.

One of my biggest dreams is to meet this guy because I love him so much.

Favourite original of his.
Favourite from his album.
Favourite Taylor Swift cover.
Favourite Old-School-Tyler cover.

Safe Haven

BEFORE SEEING THE FILM AT THE CINEMA.

I love Nicholas Sparks novels for so many reasons: the perfect characters; the beautiful feelings and actions of the characters; the obstacles the characters overcome; the moral and sometimes maybe-not-what-everyone-stereotypically-wanted endings. Safe Haven, I love for the perfect characters and heart-breaking pasts that still haunt them but I also adore the novel for the thrill.

At parts, the pace of the novel literally made my heart pound faster, fearing for the characters that I love oh so much; so lost in the plot that I may as well be alongside them. Like every other Nicholas Sparks novel, "I could not put it down" and with Safe Haven, it was definitely because of the thriller aspect of it - and, of course the perfect characters of Katie and Alex.

I fall for the male love interests in Nicholas Sparks novels every time; there'd be no point trying not to. Alex, the man in Safe Haven, I love for the way he loves Katie as well as his late wife, Carly. His deep love for his children, however is what made me fall deeply and unconditionally for Alex. It's just too sweet for my heart to take. The main characters that are fathers in Nicholas Sparks novels are always perfect and I always note, after reading a charmingly constructed part of the character's view and love of their children that it must exist due to it reflecting how much of an awesome dad Nicholas Sparks is. I genuinely don't doubt that.

I have been raving about this novel since I read it over two years ago and, like every time a Nicholas Sparks novel is adapted into a film, I have rosy cheeks and the thought of seeing the film.

Love hurts. There is nothing as painful as heartbreak. But in order to learn to love again you must learn to trust again.

AFTER WATCHING THE FILM. 03:57 IN THE MORNING.

The cast, as it is for every Nicholas Sparks adapted film, I knew would be perfect, and sat, popcorn and sweets spread before me, I knew my love for Josh Duhamel would cause me to comfort eat to the max and oh my, it did.

The film was sweet but bitter, calming yet heart-pounding. You get the oxymoron-based picture I'm painting for you, right? My emotions were on that "roller-coaster ride" you often hear about during those two hours and I haven't yet stepped off of it.

Another thing that I adore about books written by the brilliant Nicholas Sparks is that way he sets the scene: "Lilies sprouted amid the wild grass in what once was a flower bed..." and the film adaption of Safe Haven gave me chills with the beautiful beach and the area surrounding Katie's home. Even the roads in the neighbourhood had something so homely-small-town about them. Absolutely stunning. Do you know what made the scenery even more perfect? Josh Duhamel.

The characters matched my imagination when reading the novel and this makes me incredibly happy. Alex was passionate and sweet and Katie was damaged yet, at the same time that female hero that made me be full of that strong-woman mentality. Cobie Smulders? She was just incredible.

Like the novel, I was lost in the film and the romance as well as the tension beneath the love and beauty that ended with explosions in my eyes.

HERE is the trailer for the film.

YouTubers: hchsknights08

So, Alyssa Bernal, hchsknights08 http://www.youtube.com/user/hchsknights08 is amazingawesomeIloveher.

Alyssa's voice is the definition of warm honey. It's so beautiful and whenever she uploads a new cover, I literally sit there with my mouth wide open. It's just pure talent and effortless. Recently she uploaded a cover of my song of the moment, Just Give Me A Reason with Josh Milan and so I was one happy camper: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRZ8cn_4EYE ...just. *Sighs*, it's so perfect. She's so pwetty.

Another thing I think is awesome about her, is her portrayal of herself. She always seems so kind and genuine and you can't beat that, eh? I've spent days listening to her covers and not wanting to do anything but. Her originals are also fantastical. My favourite is Stay and her acoustic version is perfection: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO0lTCPWdhw  Check out her album.

YouTubers: AlexGMusic7

This blog post is about Alex G, AlexGMusic7: http://www.youtube.com/user/AlexGMusic7 as her covers and originals make my wee heart melt. Subscribe to her for virtual cupcakes.

My love for Alex began after seeing her in a video with Tyler Ward and Alex Goot when she had only 21 subscribers!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQ7gUcEPaGs

I loved her more and more in the next few videos with Tyler: her voice and how funny she was. I watched a few Ustreams with her and Tyler and she read out one of my comments and as I fangirled, this obsession became real. I loved her and Tyler's friendship and she always seemed so real and genuine. All I seem to be doing is typing out a list of her awesome qualities and that's the only way I can think of portraying her awesomeness without you checking her videos and seeing what the hay I'm talking about.

I am writing about Alex now because of her recent cover of Demi Lovato's Heart Attack  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwANwqorm74 which I had on replay for two days straight. The things is, this happens every time she uploads a new cover and I end up procrastinating my day away simply because she's so talented. One which literally had me up all day and night listening was her and Jon D's cover of Everything Has Changed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm6YB4XsQXE

"And my story book is better off with pages still unwritten."

Her originals are also another attribute to her sheer awesomeness and I love every single original she has shown. You should definitely check her and her EP out on iTunes: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/foun...

Oh yeah, and she is ridiculously pretty.

YouTubers: Sprinkle of Glitter

I'm going to write a series of blog posts about my favourite youtubers and I'm going to start off by talking about Louise, Sprinkle of Glitter: http://www.youtube.com/user/Sprinkleofglitter

Her youtube channel consists of videos relating to beauty, her lovely daughter Darcy (Baby Glitter) and life in general.

The reason I shall start with Louise is because of a video that I watch fairly often as, like a lot of people, I have issues with the mind-set regarding how I look. This video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa5aaA-zvxY and although I can tell myself to get out of the mind-set; "there's more to me than looks", sometimes it's difficult so I sit back, watch Louise and think, "yeah, I'm am good enough". I, personally think everyone should and can be positive about themselves and when I forget for a moment, Louise reminds me. I think Louise deserves endless glitter and hugs for this.

Not only this, but Louise's attitude towards life in general and being happy is so bright and positive. It's refreshing, especially considering some horrible, personal experiences she has been through. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hzKl5-xVRY - This is her video on being happy.

She's so jolly and sooo pretty and spreads positivity that can always cheer me up! I love her blog posts and tweets and her relationships with everyone in her videos and yeah...she's so gwweeeeat! I just hope that I can possess her positivity and outlook on life. Just, yeah...subscribe to her. She's awesomesauce.

My Dandelion Dreams

I have always been a dreamer: I dream when I am incredibly busy; I dream when I am laying in bed at night; I dream when I am procrastinating.

*Wish: A desire for something/something to happen.
Dream: An image of the perfect setting/life imagined by the dreamer.

I have always taken my wishes extremely seriously. Whether it be a Birthday-candle wish, a "wish upon a star" wish or a dandelion wish, you will be sure to find in that precious moment that I will believe that my wish will turn into reality. My wishes, in turn are part of the bigger picture: the dream.

It is dandelions that I believe hold the most importance. I pick up dandelions only if they are already out of the ground and when I do I find it so liberating. This isn't some weird spiritual post, I just love the feeling of having the dandelion raised, close to your lips before making a wish and blowing it into the seeds, your wish in the hands of the wind and the seeds.

Wishes really are as simple as that.

One Perfect Summer: One Perfect Novel

I fall for fictional characters with a click of a finger. Your typical sensitive, romantic type? Your heart-wrenchingly butch, strong-minded type? I'm sold. However the heartthrob in One Perfect Summer, by Paige Toon, is far (and yet ticks all of the boxes of the features above) from your stereotypical dreamy lad and yet he is up there with all of my favourites! Joe's eyebrow-ring, handsome looks and rock-style makes him not "just a boy" and hence sets me up for an inevitable crash into his and Dyson's (his loyal companion and best friend) world.

This is not all about the fictional boy who became more and more part of my life with every turn of a page, however. Alice, vulnerable, yet incredibly strong is relatable beyond belief. As she attempts to overcome a first love, a magical summer, I, the reader attempts to fall out of love with Joe too. I understand Alice's impossible task and join her in the adventure of her life changing throughout many years.

This is the perfect chick-lit, yet the drama within the twist and turns resulted in me reading it in a day!

Thanks Carrie!

So I wrote a song because of Carrie Hope Fletcher who I think is awesome and who has...*tries to word so it doesn't sound lame*...inspired me (more in this if you read on):
http://thegirlinthemoonlight.tumblr.com/post/32544208367/Rapunzel

Tangled, based on Rapunzel has been one of my favourite films since it was released; it is Disney at its best (as it always is!). I love the soundtrack and Flynn Rider has my heart! Carrie Hope Fletcher is also one of my favourite youtubers. Not only is she an incredible song-writer and has a b-e-a-utiful voice, she once posted a video called "Dare To Suck" (here is a link to it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szink3hLH7s) and it summed up me. I'm "too scared" about a lot of a things and especially when it comes to things that I've personally created; I presume this applies to a lot of people.

From being inspired by the video, I sat down and did what I do best: watched a movie and cried over the parts most people don't (for example where Rapunzel saves herself and Flynn from almost drowning with her magical hair) and yes, I watched Tangled. In my head, at the same time, Carrie's tremendous thoughts were flying around my brain. Nothing, I know (and this isn't me being a pessimist - dreaming and pursuing dreams should be everyone's aim) will come of my lyrics/songs, but that was never necessarily the aim. I want to share my thoughts in the way of song (this now sounds like a Disney movie) just for myself (although I'd love for others to enjoy them!). On with the wee story: I sat down at my keyboard and wrote a little song about myself and how I don't let myself dream (about things ranging from entering myself into a competition to putting my songs up somewhere) and it was due to Carrie Hope Fletcher. I, from my positive-thinking about things I do, submitted a different song to a song-writing competition and got to the semi-finals so thanks Carrie!

Although I wrote the lyrics, I somewhat feel they were due to Carrie's wisdom!

Gumdrops & Glitter,
A Hopeful for life,

The Girl in the Moonlight.
