My 3 Favourite Sunny Nail Varnishes

I don't talk about beauty related things often on my blog, but as I love bright and pastel nail varnishes so much and spring and sunshine is here with summer on its way, I thought it would be perfect to write about my three favourite sunny nail varnishes. Although I wear bright nail varnishes all year round, I enjoy them the most in spring and summer!

♡ Barry M - Coral ♡

This colour makes my heart smile so much. Barry M's Coral is like a slightly-pinkey-orangey-red-juicy colour. It's bright and summery and I especially love wearing it when I'm going out. A while ago I had been looking for a colour just like this and was ecstatic to find it while I was shopping. The colour of this reminds me of sweets!

♡ Essie - Mint Candy Apple ♡

This colour connotes sandy beaches and beautiful blue seas in my mind. Essie's Mint Candy Apple has been with me all the way through the start of Spring as I just adore the colour. It's both a really sweet colour and really bright too! I think it will look completely awesome when warmth is with us.

♡ Barry M - Berry ♡

This is such a calming colour to me. Barry M's Berry is quite subtle but noticeable too. It's a beautiful contradiction of juicy berryness and a little slice of a sunset on your nails. It's very adorable and reminds me of Parma Violet sweets.

It should be noted that Barry M's Lemon is also one of my favourite sunny nail varnishes (I love it a LOT!) but I don't have enough left to paint my nails with and I don't feel like I'm worthy of buying a new one until a few more nail varnishes are used up!

What are your favourite nail varnishes for spring and summer time or are you one (like me) to ignore seasons and wear what you want (don't we just live on the wild side?!)?

My Current Beauty Favourites

I rarely write favourites posts and I've never written one about beauty products alone. Thus, for my blogging challenge of posting for seven days (that you can read about HERE), I thought I would talk about my current beauty favourites.

I have been enjoying these nail varnishes recently: Essie's Turquoise and Caicos and Barry M's Coral nail varnish. Turquoise and Caicos reminds me of the sea and where I normally wear bright colours, it's a nice middle between being bright and dark. Coral is awesome; when I look at it, it reminds me of sweets. It's such a juicy colour!

I had never tried anything other than Barry M nail varnishes from their collection until this product came into my life. Barry M's black liquid liner is awesome. It's easy to apply and dries quickly.

Hair-wise, I have finally joined in on the Batiste dry shampoo hype. It's been all around the blogosphere and the real-world-osphere and I'm so chuffed that I finally put it in my basket as I did a little supermarket shop. It makes myself believe my hair is nearing the end of its first-day-wash (which is FAB) and smells like coconuts. I have also been enjoying the VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray. I bought it last year and I've finally started using it. I am very careful when it comes to using heat on my hair and although I never know how to tell whether a heat protecting product is working or not, VO5 smells delicious and so assuming it's helping my hair (my hair does seem in good condition), the smell makes it a top notch product. I'm not good with smells but I'd explain it (probably wrongly) as a musky, fruity scent and I get lovely whiffs of it throughout the day. I have never had a problem with the pump which makes it all the more fab-u-lous.

I'm not sure what the name of this perfect No7 eye shadow is but I love it. It's lightly shimmery and the reason why I love it is that it's discreet but pretty. This photo (only this one - the lighting was awful) is slightly edited and so I'm not sure if the colour looks different but it's a grey and bronze colour and it isn't over-the-top. I love that I can wear it to any sort of occasion.

This picture doesn't do justice to how pretty the colour is. I have Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Honey. I really like it and love it for going out to parties and it feels lovely on the lips. I think I will wear it a lot more in the summer with a tan. I really love this, though and I'm going to buy another when I can! It doesn't take a lot to make my lips pink and I am so glad I found the range when I was in Boots.

These smell gorgeous! I bought Soap & Glory's mini creamy body wash around Christmastime and I've almost used it all. It smells so fresh and clean, mixed in with many sprinkles of sweetness. I am also adoring Ghost's Sweetheart body moisturising lotion. My mum got the perfume for Christmas and gave me the lotion that came with it (thanks mum!). It smells so sweet and I love wearing it when I've got nothing to do instead of wasting perfume or adding it with perfume to go out.

Benefit's They're Real mascara will always be a favourite of mine. It lengthens and thickens my eyelashes perfectly for a normal day or a day out.

Do you love any of these? What have you been loving? I'd love to know!

The Girl in the Moonlight.

P.S. Sorry about the poor pictures... As usual, I'm working on it!

P.P.S. Yay to Noelle for reviewing Essie's Mint Candy Apple as I recently bought it and can't wait to use it. I'm sure it's going to be a new favourite.

A Festive Trip to Lush

Today I went shopping with some friends and, as if it needed encouragement, excited my festive spirit. What better way to do it than to take a trip to Lush?

I have been delighted to see so many Lush haul blogposts pop up when I log in and I couldn't wait to get to Lush to find some Christmas goodies and do this post! My plan was to "accidentally" go crazy and buy loads of Christmassy and classic Lush beauties, however, my rational mind was on and I knew I couldn't spend too much so I bought the thing that makes me grin every year at Christmas. Yes, it's Snow Fairy.

Lush is a weakness of mine so I'm proud of buying just one thing. Snow Fairy makes my heart happy. It cost me £3.50 and smells like the definition of beauty: pear and candyfloss and also, to me, bubblegum. It's very sweet and the smell doesn't go away - which I love! Every time I use Snow Fairy I am reminded quickly of how much I love the scent. Be still, my beating heart. I love you Lush and Snow Fairy.

What's your favourite Lush product?

Snow & Fairies,

YouTubers: Sprinkle of Glitter

I'm going to write a series of blog posts about my favourite youtubers and I'm going to start off by talking about Louise, Sprinkle of Glitter: http://www.youtube.com/user/Sprinkleofglitter

Her youtube channel consists of videos relating to beauty, her lovely daughter Darcy (Baby Glitter) and life in general.

The reason I shall start with Louise is because of a video that I watch fairly often as, like a lot of people, I have issues with the mind-set regarding how I look. This video is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fa5aaA-zvxY and although I can tell myself to get out of the mind-set; "there's more to me than looks", sometimes it's difficult so I sit back, watch Louise and think, "yeah, I'm am good enough". I, personally think everyone should and can be positive about themselves and when I forget for a moment, Louise reminds me. I think Louise deserves endless glitter and hugs for this.

Not only this, but Louise's attitude towards life in general and being happy is so bright and positive. It's refreshing, especially considering some horrible, personal experiences she has been through. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hzKl5-xVRY - This is her video on being happy.

She's so jolly and sooo pretty and spreads positivity that can always cheer me up! I love her blog posts and tweets and her relationships with everyone in her videos and yeah...she's so gwweeeeat! I just hope that I can possess her positivity and outlook on life. Just, yeah...subscribe to her. She's awesomesauce.
